Head of Bristol Advisory
Oliver joined Rowan Dartington in July 2011 as Head of Bristol Advisory from Redmayne Bentley Wealth Managers, where he played an integral part in establishing the West End Office. During Oliver’s time in London he has held roles in Canary Wharf & the City and is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment. Originally from Bristol, Oliver has always fostered close links with his roots, remaining an active council member of the Bristol Cathedral School Alumni.
After graduating in Management and Business Administration from the University of Reading in 2006, Jonathan went to Australia to play as an Overseas cricketer for a club in Melbourne. On his return in 2007 he entered Private Client Stockbroking before arriving at Rowan Dartington in 2009. Jonathan looks after a range of advisory clients consisting of trusts, charities and private individuals.
Sebastian Roiz de S’a
Seb read Business Studies at University in Bristol specialising in Financial Management. After leaving university he began working as a trainee stockbroker in August 2007. Seb moved to Rowan Dartington in November 2008 and for the last 6 years has developed client relationships and growing asset levels. Seb is a keen golfer.
Gary started his career in 1989 working at Greig Middleton in London. Gary began in the back office settlement department and quickly progressed through the company moving to institutional trade support and he finally became an Equity Trader at Old Mutual Securities following the takeover of the Greig Middleton Group.
Gary then joined Barratt & Cooke Stockbrokers in Norwich, focusing on private client wealth management. After a number of years in Norwich, he was given an opportunity to join Rowan Dartington and agreed to move to the West Country to begin his current role in the Bristol Advisory Team.
Craig holds a BA (Hons) in Enterprise and Entrepreneurship. Upon graduating, Craig completed an internship with Barclays in Canary Wharf and then entered private client stockbroking with a bespoke firm in Liverpool Street, where he specialised in equity derivatives. Craig joined Rowan Dartington in 2015 as part of the Advisory Stockbroking Team. Outside of work, Craig has a keen interest in restoring classic cars.
In 2006 Edmund started his career involved in a small start-up business venture, before spending time in the Insurance sector and in Management Information. He then moved into Financial Services, where prior to joining Rowan Dartington he spent two and a half years at another bespoke brokerage in Bristol.
Edmund joined Rowan Dartington in 2016 and is part of the Advisory Stockbroking Team. He enjoys most sport, in particular rugby for which he plays for a local side near Bath.
Originally from Essex, Alec moved to Bristol shortly after receiving his BSc (Hons) in economics from university and worked briefly in the academic publishing space before moving to join Rowan Dartington’s Stockbroking Team in 2016.
Outside of work Alec supports West Ham and has a passion for music.
Bristol – Discretionary
Head of Bristol Discretionary & Branch Manager (Cheltenham)
Kevin has spent over 30 years in the industry advising High Net Worth discretionary private clients within a leading Private Bank before moving to Rowan Dartington. During this time he has undertaken a number of different roles including Fiduciary Services, managing portfolios, relationship management and as an IFA.
Kevin is now head of the Bristol Discretionary Private Clients & Cheltenham Office as well as a Fund Manager for his own private clients. He is a Fellow of the Personal Financial Society, Chartered Financial Planner as well as a Chartered Wealth Manager of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.
Helen entered Private Client Stockbroking after graduating from the University of The West of England with Honours in Business & Finance in 1994. Helen subsequently qualified as an Investment Manager and began managing private client portfolios, completing her CISI Level 6 Certificate in Private Client Investment Advice and Management (PCIAM) in 1997 and becoming a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment in 2001.
Helen is now a Chartered Wealth Manager and part of the Bristol Discretionary Team specialising in the management of discretionary portfolios.
Assistant Investment Manager
Andrew began his financial career working for Brewin Dolphin, before moving to Walker Cambria where his role included developing the assets under management and providing the link between Investment managers and Financial Advisors.
Andrew is now part of the Bristol Discretionary Team at Rowan Dartington, and also maintains a close relationship within the Intermediary community. A former professional cricketer, Andrew played for Glamorgan County Cricket Club for 12 years.
Bristol – Central Investment Team
Head of Central Investments
Daniel entered Private Client Stockbroking in 2000 when he joined the investment department of Thring Townsend Solicitors in Bath. Over the next seven years Daniel became Operations Manager and then qualified as an Investment Manager, specialising in managing discretionary portfolios for a range of trusts, charities and private individuals.
In 2007 Daniel joined Rowan Dartington as a discretionary manager and has since established the Bristol Discretionary and Central Investment teams, the latter of which he still heads. During this time Daniel has designed and developed Rowan Dartington’s in-house Portfolio Management System – a software system to help manage and monitor individual client portfolios. Daniel is a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.
Senior Investment Manager
Alastair started his career in the City, initially trading and advising on investments in commodities after which he moved into equities. Following a period during which he researched and instructed upon investments in both large and small cap companies he joined an equity derivatives desk and began advising on and actively managing discretionary portfolios for the purpose of both speculation and hedging.
In early 2010 Alastair joined Rowan Dartington, at first in the Cornwall branch, before moving up to the Head Office in Bristol, where his role is as a Senior Investment Manager within the Central Investments Team.
James has worked for Rowan Dartington since 2007, initially in the central support team and latterly as an Investment Analyst before joining the Central Investment Team.
After becoming fully qualified in 2012, James now works managing discretionary client portfolios. James is an Associate of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment and is currently studying towards the Certificate in Private Client Investment Advice & Management.
