Robert Newman

Robert joined Rowan Dartington in November 2010 from Barclays Wealth to head up the discretionary managed department in Bristol. In 1997 he joined the Bristol office of Albert E Sharp and gained his professional qualifications whilst building a book of clients. Through mergers and acquisitions the firm was bought by Barclays, and he was instrumental in opening the Barclays Private Bank in Bristol. He manages investments for individuals, charities, trusts, corporates and pensions (SIPPs and SSAS). His prior experience has been in both the automotive and marine worlds before he moved to the Cotswolds, and has gained considerable experience helping families with the complexity of managing their financial affairs, in conjunction with experts he has worked with over the years.
Daniel Williamson
Head of Bristol Discretionary Management
Daniel entered Private Client Stockbroking in 2000 when he joined the investment department of Thring Townsend Solicitors in Bath. Over the next seven years Daniel qualified as an Investment Manager and assumed responsibility for the discretionary management of portfolios for a range of trusts, charities and private individuals. In 2007 Daniel joined Rowan Dartington where he continued to specialise in managing discretionary portfolios, and has latterly been appointed head of the discretionary team in Bristol. Daniel is a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.
