David Snow

Chairman

David was involved in the money and derivatives markets for 20 years, starting at Cayzer Limited before joining Harlow Butler. Until 1999 he was Chief Executive of Harlow Butler UK Limited and Garban Europe Limited, where he was responsible for approximately 500 brokers (money markets, capital markets and foreign exchange) and 100 back office staff. He prepared Garban Europe Limited for a successful stock market float (a year later the company merged with ICAP). Since then he has developed his private interests which include property, printing, security and farming.

David was a non-executive director of Astaire from June 2007 to 5 December 2008.

James Hutson

Chief Investment Officer, joint Managing Director

Following the completion of his MBA (Finance) at City University Business School in London, James joined the French Investment bank, Sociétè Generale, where he commenced a career as an Equity Research Analyst focusing on the UK Bank sector. Subsequent to that James joined the boutique investment bank, Kelton International, as a partner in charge of UK bank research, before leaving in 2004 to join the team that helped to set up the UK arm of American investment bank Keefe, Bruyette and Woods. After 10 years focusing on equity research in the UK Financial sector, having been ranked by Extel, Institutional Investor and Starmine, James joined Rowan Dartington in 2009.

David Burrows

Chief Operating Officer, joint Managing Director

David joined Rowan Dartington in 2009. David is a Chartered Accountant with over 20 years post qualification experience, 9 years of which have been spent in Financial Services. Having previously worked for KPMG, Price Waterhouse and PwC, he joined Legal & General (Unit Trust Managers) Ltd in 2001 as Head of Finance. After 6 years in the role he joined Morse Group plc in 2007 as a Senior Consultant specialising in providing advice to Investment Managers and Retail Distributors of Investment Products. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and a Member of the Securities and Investment Institute.

Sue Evans

Director

Sue joined Rowan Dartington in 2008 as an Associate Director, to establish and run the Hereford office. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment and has a keen interest in personal and trust taxation. She regularly works with clients’ accountants and solicitors in these areas.

Before joining Rowan Dartington, Sue gained 20 years’ experience in investment management, including 12 years as a Fund Manager on a range of private client funds, pension funds and charities, with a particular emphasis on investing in closed-end funds. Following her time with Greenwell Montagu she worked as a consultant in Russia for Samuel Montagu, advising on the setting up of investment trusts during the privatisation of the early 1990s.

Oliver Cooke

Company Secretary

Oliver, is a Chartered Accountant, and has served as Financial Director or as Executive Chairman on the boards of a number of AIM companies. He has also served as a board member of a number of Full List and private companies.

His principal focus is on the development of Evolve’s corporate potential and on the sourcing, structuring and execution of investments and other corporate transactions on the Company’s behalf. He is also the Company Secretary of Evolve.
